S1 D1: Team Ignite a Spark and Electruth part 1

Sam looked around. Many teams were bustling around and Sammy hated that. She tried to dodge the other Pokémon but suddenly someone bumped right into her and she fell down. Sam helped her standing up. “Hey watch out where you step.”
As he looked at the mon who ran into his sister. A Kirlia with a vest was looking around as if she was looking for something. “I’m sorry.”
“Hey aren’t you Ariela?” Sam reached her his hand. “Do you remember? I’m Sam. We met at the race. What happened?”
“Oh yes, I remember. Yes I am looking for Craw. You remember the Riolu who was with me last time?” She shook his hand.
“So he disappeared or what? Maybe he ran into the dungeon?” Sam scratched his chin. “The last time he didn’t like these bustling Pokémon.”
“No, he isn’t one who just runs away… but in the last days he acts weird. I don’t know why but I think he is hiding something from me. Don’t understand me wrong. I know that he is hiding many things from me but this time it is something different. Normally he says if he doesn’t want to speak about something but this time he is avoiding my questions.”
“He will have his reasons. If you want we can help you searching him. I mean here are many Riolu and we want to wait till the most are inside the dungeon. Not that we don’t like others to accompany us but we tend to… need time to do our researches if we find something interesting.”
“Oh that is very nice thank you.” Ariela grinned.
As they wanted to search for Craw he suddenly jumped from a tree landing right next to them. “Rodriguez and Lillith are in the dungeon now and we should go too.” Then he recognized the twins. “Aren’t you the two from the race?”
“Yeah, and you are Craw right?” Sam smiled and gave him his hand. “Nice to meet’cha again.”
“Yeah…” Craw shook his hand and turned to Ariela. “We should go now.”
Ariela sighed. “If you insist. Was nice to meet you again. Good bye.” She waved the twins and turned around to go.
“Yeah good bye.” Craw nodded.
Sam grinned. “See ya.”
Sammy just waved. She liked the Riolu he was much more quiet than other ‘mons were.
Sam turned to his sister. “A tea before we start?”
Sammy just nodded. She took her bag and took out a fire stone together with the tea can. Sam took some of the water he took with him and filled it in the can while Sammy was lighting some wood to heat the water. They sat down and Sammy prepared the tea cups while Sam went through their prepared items. “Ok I think we have everything we need. Maybe some more water would be good but it will be enough.”
“Hmm we maybe can find a underground river or something.”
“Yes maybe.” Sam scratched his chin. “But we should be ready to stay for a while inside the dungeon. I mean what if we find something really interesting?”
Sammy tipped her fingers on her head. Then the tea was ready. As they drank both were fell in silence both sunk in the own thoughts. Even though Sam knew his sister would think in more difficult ways he was sure she was thinking about the same as he was. It was a special bond between them and that was the reason they were such a good team. While his sister was a walking encyclopedia he was able to solve nearly every riddle and he could translate nearly every language and since they both looked at the things from different points of view but still somehow from the same they were able to get through every task they had to make. At least till now.
Both finished drinking the tea. Sam took their belongings together. “We should go now. The most other teams are inside the dungeon.”
Sammy nodded. “The dungeon is called Basalt Halls. The name comes from the basalt pillars which form it. If I’m right then it should be a sign of volcanic activities but they have to be far under the dungeon.”
Sam grinned. “Yes I know.”
“I’m just giving you my knowledge so you can plan our steps. I am your encyclopedia and you are my tactic book. As long as we work together we can solve every problem. I’m just doing my part.”
Sam was surprised. His sister never tried to scold him like this. “You are excited and you are afraid of the dungeon right?”
“H-How do you get that idea. Of course not.” She blushed a little bit.
“Got’cha.” Sam poked her nose. “You don’t need to be scared. I know that our last dungeon exploration went like planned but this time we are better prepared. Also we know that at every exit there will be help if necessary. It won’t happen again.”
Sammy looked in up into his eyes. Tears were flowing down her face. “Don’t remember me please.”
“Sorry.” He whipped away her tears with his hand. “We will be fine.”
“Yes… Ok now let us go.”
Sam smiled weakly. He knew his sister would never confess that she is scared to go into the dungeon. She hated it that her brother treats her over cautious and if she shows that she’s afraid of the dungeon than he would treat her over cautious.
Then they went inside. As they entered the dungeon they saw many basalt pillars. They looked around. There were three other doors. Sam looked around. “North?”
“Why not south?”
“Yeah why not.” Sam grinned. He knew she just wanted to go south because he wanted to go north.
So they went south just to find out that the door was locked. Sammy looked at it. “It’s just an old lock do you think you can open it?”
Sam grinned. “Of course. As if a lock ever was able to stop us.”
Sammy grinned. She remembered the time they used to go into the old spooky house to play explorers. The elder locked it so the kids wouldn’t go into the dilapidated house again but Sam learned to open the locks. “Yeah.” Sam opened the lock with an ease using a needle. As they went through the door and entered another room a Fleshcap lay in front of them. “Sam isn’t that one of the items we shall take to the storehouse?”
“Yes, but we have to be careful. The leaders said that Barboaches are here everywhere and attacking everyone who gets close.”
Sammy nodded as she picked up the Fleshcap. Suddenly a Barboach appeared from behind some basalt pillars. “HALT! In the name of the great and honorable king Wussy Whiskey Montgomery Mudsuckery Sedimus Munge IV supreme overlord of the underground lakes and this dungeon I order you to go or I will force you to.”
The Barboach was wielding a spoon with his mouth. Sam was surprised that he was able to speak. “Sammy? Could you please?”
“Of course.” She readied a Baton Pass together with Nasty Plot and Agility to support Sam.
“I said you shall go back where you came from or I will take care you will.”
Sam grinned. “I am sorry. It is normally not my style but we need to spend some more time in this dungeon.” As he finished Sammy gave him the Baton Pass. Some sparks were flying from her to Sam’s hand. It was a Helping Hand attack and Sam could feel the energy flowing through his body. “Again I am sorry.” He grinned as he created a Trump Card attack knocking out the Barboach with one hit.
Sammy looked down to the defeated enemy. “Hmm if they are all that weak then we will have no problem with this dungeon.”
Sam scratched his chin. “Nah. I doubt that they are all that weak. But now let us go. Left or right door?”
Sammy was sketching a map of the dungeon before she answered. “Left door.”
She wanted to go to the door as Sam suddenly grabbed her and pulled her back. “STOP!” He took her behind him and kneeled down. “Phew, that was close.” He pointed on the ground. “Here look, a pressure plate. I bet somewhere here…” he looked at the wall then to the ceiling. “Yeah there is a trap. I bet that is a Rock Slide trap. Two steps on the right from the door.”
“Noted. Something else?” Sammy scribbled the position in the map of the dungeon.
“Nope.” He went around the trap and opened the locked door. As he looked into the room a Spoolstone lay in front of him on the ground. “Found a Spoolstone.” He bowed down to pick it up just to hear another “HALT!” from his right. He sighed and looked who it was this time. Another Barboach with a spoon in his mouth sat there on the ground looking at him. “Not again.”
“Intruder! In the name of-“
“Yeah we already know that. Can you please just go and do like if you didn’t see us?”
“I will crush your bones for the sacrilege entering-“
Sam turned to Sammy. “I think he is distracted by his own speech. We should just go.” Sammy nodded and Sam locked the door behind him again. “Yeah let’s try the other door.”
They walked over to the other side of the room where the other door was. They readied for another appearance of a Barboach as Sam opened it but the room seemed to be clear. Sammy looked around. “There is a Meatroot.” She pointed to the opposite side of the room.
Sam went to the Meatroot and picked it up. He put it into his bag and looked north to another door. “I wonder if we will find something interesting in this dungeon. It seems like if here is nothing except Basalt, Meatroots, Spoolstones, Fleshcaps and Barboaches.”
Sammy sighed. “Don’t be that impatient.” She already went to the next door. “Oh somebody forgot a key in the lock.” She opened it as Sam was still putting away the Meatroot. “The room’s empty too.”
“So, back to the room north from the entrance?”
“Yeah I think that’s the best idea.” Sammy tipped her fingers at her head again and took out her map.
They went back to the room and headed north. As they got closer to the door in the north another Barboach crossed their way. “HALT! In the name of-“
Sam hit the Barboach with his Trump Card attack before he even ended his sentence.
Sammy shook her head. “At least you could have let him end his sentence.”
“They all say the same so they don’t have any new information for us. Now let us continue. I slowly want to get out of here.”
Sammy sighed. “Well then.” She went to the door and opened it. As they entered suddenly a light flashed them.
“ACK! The fuck?” Someone was yelling on their left side.
Sam, who covered his eyes from the flash, looked left just to see another Barboach. This one was fat. Sam used his Trump card to knock him out. “Another Barboach.”
Sammy nodded.
Sam grinned. “So this was quiet interesting. Did you feel that too?”
“Yeah it was like the room itself drained electricity out of our bodies.” Sammy rubbed her eyes.
“Let me try something.” He used his Electro Ball and the room absorbed it. He took a closer look at the ground and the walls. Thin lines of iron were between the basalt. “Hmm… Iron. Together with the basalt it could create a natural battery.”
Sammy tipped her fingers on her head. “Hmm a volt absorbing room that stores the electricity and releases it in a flashing light. That is quiet interesting.” She walked to the middle of the room as suddenly a stealth rock trap was triggered.
“SAMMY!” Sam used Light Screen as fast as she could but the trap hit her. Sam ran to her. “Sammy, are you Ok?” He heard a whining voice from inside the rocks. “Stay calm I will try to get you out there.” He walked around the stealth rock trap. He scratched his chin before he suddenly attacked the rocks with a trump card attack. He touched the rocks where the attack hit. "Nope nothing, we will need someone else to get you out there." He looked around to find something that could help. Suddenly he saw another team of a Pikachu and a Plusle and started to smile. "Oh hello." He used his Charm attack at them. "Do you mind help me here?"
The team looked surprised at him before they looked at each other.
The Plusle quickly nodded and smiled widely at him "Of course! Count with me!" She jumped with joy.
"Yeah dude we'll help you" The Pikachu replied with a grin. Then both went to him.
"And... What help do you need?" The Plusle asked with a grin.
"Thank you! My name is Sam and my sister Sammy... yeah you see the stealth rock trap here?" He points at the trap. "My sister and I were analyzing the phenomena in this room. It is absorbing electricity and we wanted to find out why and how we can reproduce this phenomenon and as we were analyzing some data Sammy stepped on the trap. Before she was hit by the rocks I was able to build up a Light Screen but she got trapped inside. Now the problem is I can't free her."
He scratches his chin while looking to the ceiling. "Do you maybe know some physical attacks? Not Brick Brake that would cause massive damage because of the Light Screen."
"No problem! Let it to us!" The Plusle replied with a smile. "I can use Grass Knot."
The Pikachu nodded "I can use Dig or Iron Tail" He replied "Can that help you?"
Both looked at the trap, they have to do it with care.
"Dig? Hmm... no I think the ground is too hard here. How good are you at aiming with your Iron Tail?" Again he was proving the stones. "Hmm based to the structural stability and the weight... hmm the formation and together with the Light Screen... right here." He marks a point of the rock formation. "If you are able to hit it right there then the rocks should brake without hurting her."
"Don’t worry! Let it to Kiiro he knows what he is doing!" The Plusle replied with a wide smile next to Sam "C'mon Kiiro, you can do it!" She jumped with joy.
Kiiro nodded. "I think with that we can help your sister." Then he used Iron Tail against the rock that Sam pointed at.
As the rock broke the first thing they could see was a fluctuating Light Screen. It had holes where the rocks hit it and suddenly it was braking. Sammy was huddled and seemed to shiver. Slowly Sam went to her and put his hand on her. "Hey sis' are you Ok?"
She startled and looked at his brother her eyes wide open panic fueled.
He calmly smiled at her before he took her hand stroking her. "Shhh everything’s Ok. You're save now."
"I-I... I thought for a moment I was... like in... SAM!" Then she started to cry and Sam hugged her.
The other Plusle looked at her. "Don’t worry lady you're safe now!" She tried to calm down Sammy.
"Yeah, you're okay." Kiiro replied and smiled at her before going to the trap looking at it. "You were very lucky, lady." Then he looked to her "You're a Plusle like Orenjii, but she's small for a Plusle, nevermind. By the way it is a pleasure to meet you"
Suddenly Sammy got aware of the other two in the room. Blushing she turned away.
Sam chuckled. "See? Everythings Ok." He turned to Orenjii and Kiiro. "You have to know she hates to speak to foreign. She likes it to be around others but she rarely speaks to them and if she gets the attention of everyone she just blushed and turns away." Again he chuckled. "By the way is the stone alright?"
Sammy just nodded and showed him the 'stone' he was mentioning. It was a light glossy stone with a whirling pattern of blue and red colors.
"Phew. I doubt we would get a chance to get one again."
"I think she's nice and cute." Kiiro replied with a smile.
Sammy blushed again because of Kiiro's statement.
Orenjii covered his mouth "You're so pervert!" Then she looked to Sam. "It’s not a problem. If she wants to talk to us we'll be here." Then she tilted her head "But about what stone did you spoke?”
"Yeah, is that stone so important for you two?" Kiiro asked and pointed at the stone.
Sam grinned. He showed them the stone so they were able to take a closer look. "Yeah for that you have to know we are from a village full of electric Pokémon. It is surrounded by mountains and the only way to it is a dungeon that is loaded with electricity. You can find many cargestones, thunder stones and other even more rare items for electric Pokémon in the dungeon. In our village it is a ritual that if you get into a special age you have to go into the dungeon and find something valuable as present for the elders. So you could call it an initiation ritual for the adulthood. So we came into that age at the same time. You know? We are twins. As we were in the dungeon we found this polarity stone. Even in that dungeon it is really rare. It has the special ability to change the polarity of electricity. If you use it in combination with alternating current electricity it changes it into a direct current electricity. So it is very helpful if you use an electric machine that uses direct current electricity. But as we found the stone an earthquake happened and Sammy got buried. As I finally dug her out she was close to death and the exit to the village was buried too. I was able to cure her with the berries we took with us. As we found another exit we found ourselves in the fog. Somehow we ended up in Andalusst. We doubt to find a way back to the village that far. So the stone is very valuable and it is the only thing that we have from our home."
"Thats so awesome!" Orenjii replied when Sam finished the story "I want to have one of that stones, they would be very helpful!" She jumped with joy again. "You know I have a twin brother!"
"I would like to find rare items and go to that village with you two if you find a way to go back."
Orenjii nodded. "Well, we are from a village between Andalusst and Iapon but it was destroyed by two evil ‘mons that were searching two things, when we wake up the village was destroyed and our families weren’t there but I think they're alive! We were adopted by a thief band that took care of us."
Kiiro look to them. "We don’t have anything from our home." Then he looked to Sammy "Hey Sammy you're cute when you’re blushed"
Sammy blushed even more and her face was close to be as red as her ears.
Now even Sam started to be uncomforted with that. "Hey Could you stop that please?"
Suddenly Sammy stood up. "No, it is Ok. You... always say I have to speak to others..." She reached Kiiro her hand. "I-I am Samantha... Sammy for short. N-Nice t-to meet you."
Sam was visible surprised.
Kiiro smiled, took her hand and kissed it. "Nice to meet you Sammy I’m Kiiro, by the way you have a beautiful name."
Orenjii laught a bit. "dont worry Sam, Kiiro can be a little bit pervert but mostly in an inoffensive way." She looked to Sammy and low her ears "I’m Orenjii, nice to meet you!"
Sammy bowed down. "N-Nice to m-meet you too Orenjii. Oh and thank you two for helping me..."
Sam grinned now. "Sorry that I hadn't introduced myself fully till now. I am Samuel, Sam for short. Nice to meet you two and thanks for helping. If you want we can help you. Whatever your mission is here."
"No problem Sammy!” Orenjii smiled.
"Its pleasure to meet you too, you don’t need to apologized Sam, I can be a troublemaker" he shrugged.
Orenjii looked to Sam and Sammy "well our mission is try to convince Wussy to come with us to The hunters HQ, although we're very friendly we also are troublemakers if you two can help us it would be so good"
Sam grinned. "Oh this Wussy won't be a problem. We will just have to research this phenomenon first then we can go.”
